The Trust has been
registered under the Income Tax Act, 1961 and donations to the Trust
are exempted from income tax under Section 80 G of the
Income Tax Act, C.No.9165E(370)/CIT/PDY/2007-08 Dated 23.05.2007 upto 31-3-2008.
The main object of the trust apart from
undertaking the construction of the Pujya Jalaram Bapa temple is to
provide financial, medical and educational assistance as well as food
to those in need and to create a home for aged.
Names and background of the Trustees:
1. SHRI JAGDISH R PATEL
Shri Jagdish Bhai is a resident of Pondicherry and a devotee of the
Ashram Mother for the last 25 years. During this period he has been
rendering social service to the people of the town. He is the Vice
President of The Pondicherry Gujarati Samaj since the last three years.
He visited Gujarat providing relief to the earthquake–affected
people.
2. SHRI TRIBHOVANBHAI V. HINDOCHA, B.Com,
LLB
He is in Pondicherry since 1963. Upto 1990 he had worked with M/s. New
Horizon Sugar Mills Ltd. in various senior capacities including that of
Company Secretary and General Manager of the Company. He had all along
been a social worker and had been first, the Vice President and then
the President of the Pondicherry Gujarati Samaj during the years 1995
to 2000. In recognition of his social services Government of
Pondicherry and Madras High Court nominated him as a honorary family
court counsellor in 1999 and in April 2003 the Legal Department,
Government of Pondicherry has appointed him as one of the jury member
of the Pondicherry Lok Adalat Bench.
Application for the approval of the temple
plan had been made to Pondicherry Planning Authority in 2004 and after
overcoming several
technical objections, we have received the approval in February 2006. As the approval for the project was not
received till February 2006, we had stopped collecting donations from
the devotees. Now, the trust has started accepting donation to complete
the project.We appeal to the devotees to generously contribute for the
cause of construction of the Temple.
